I really, really want to be able to be growing something all the time and in most cases I am, just not a lot and just not really successfully. Last night, my 5-year-old son planted a wheelbarrow garden as a 4-H project for our local fair. A neighbor came by as we where finishing it up and my son prompted them over to so he can share in his creation.
He planted corn, lettuce, bush beans, cantaloupe, cilantro, zucchini, celary and what ever else he could fit. he was proud, as was I. Then he turned to the neighbor and said, I am a way better grower than my dad. When I grow stuff it explodes, when my dad grows stuff it dies.
Nice observation son. It’s true. He has better luck. One thing I hope he realizes when he gets older is that. Yes, I may fail, but I never stop trying. Learning never ends, always be growing.
